The MET Gala 2014

Hi Loves,

How is life treating you? We celebrated Freedom yesterday, because it was Liberation day in Holland. It's important to release how privileged we are to life in a free land, that we can be who we are, that we can go were ever we want, that we can be ourself in every kind of way. 

Of course my attention wasn't only by celebrating freedom, there was something else that was on my mind. Obviously I'm talking about the MET gala 2014. The MET gala, also known as the MET ball or the Costume Institute Gala, is a yearly event organized by Anna Wintour. It's such a lovely event, not only because it's a fundraiser, but everybody (actor, designer, model, singer and so on) is making an appearance wearing the most beautiful outfits! This years theme was Charles James, a designer better known as the America's first couturier and it was hosted by one of my favorite celebrities, Sarah Jessica Parker.

 Nobody was wearing a real Charles James, but the dresses and outfit were definitely catwalk-worthy!

How is your weekend? Mine is very busy with work, but tomorrow is my day off. 

I just went through the look-book van Shea Marie (stylist and fashion-blogger) to get some outfit inspiration for tomorrow. She runs this amazing blog www.peaceloveshea.com. I absolutely love her sense of style, she can combine every pattern, fabric or color and she turns it into an awesome, fashionable outfit. She has so much talent and is definitely one of my favorite bloggers.

Online clicking can be defined as a new Olympic discipline.
So let's start one more exercise, gold medals are waiting for us in the future. ;)
1. How to make beachy waves - You are still asking me about my hair and how I'm making those messy curls, so HERE it is one more time. Everything is the same except my hair length.
2. Weekend travel look - if you are traveling somewhere for a weekend, HERE are some suggestions of what to bring and wear.
3. How to get makeup stains out of anything - while I was browsing through some articles, I ran into this one (haven't try it yet) and I thought that it's a good thing to know, just in case.
4. My week in heels - lovely Sabrina from Afterdrk.com took a challenge and tried to wear heels for a whole week and what happened during that period read on her blog. Love her honest thoughts about expensive shoes (like Prada and CL) and how uncomfortable they are while all the other ladies pretend.
5. Aging starts around 29?! - Google, stop showing me these signs articles, I know I'm getting old! As a girl who will turn exactly 29 this year I'm scared as s...t. but luckily I bumped into one more great text so I will give my best to start using at least three facial products on a daily base. Not giving a pinkie promise yet.

I definitely am, it's Kingsday tomorrow. That means we celebrate the Kings birthday with a lot of parties, flee markets, artist.. you name it. Oui Oui Paris

Hi loved-ones,

How was your Easter? I spend as much time with my family as I could and it was a blast. 

And... I have exciting news, I'm going to Paris! 

Isn't that amazing?! I can't wait to finally go to the city of fashion (and Love off course). 

The only time I went to Paris was because we were going to Disneyland, so as you can guess I need your help! 

Can you guys give me some tips, what places I definitely need to visit, were I definitely have to eat something and that kind of stuff.. Every tip is welcome!

I want to wander the streets of Paris in style, so I collected some of my favorite Parisian street style outfits!

"Match me" is one of my favorite boards from the Pinterest where I started to pin cool combinations of clothes, accessories and many other things. Soon after that I found out that these matches/staples/layouts got their official online name - Flatlay and they literally became my obsession!
Now, they are super popular on the networks, especially on the Instagram and ladies who own the photos from this post are queens of flatlays! Their level of creativity is amazing!
