Out of all the denim shorts I own these are my favourite pair. Several years of wear means that they are soft as anything but practically disintegrating with over use. I'll probably cry when they wear out completely.

The MET Gala 2014

Hi Loves,

How is life treating you? We celebrated Freedom yesterday, because it was Liberation day in Holland. It's important to release how privileged we are to life in a free land, that we can be who we are, that we can go were ever we want, that we can be ourself in every kind of way. 

Of course my attention wasn't only by celebrating freedom, there was something else that was on my mind. Obviously I'm talking about the MET gala 2014. The MET gala, also known as the MET ball or the Costume Institute Gala, is a yearly event organized by Anna Wintour. It's such a lovely event, not only because it's a fundraiser, but everybody (actor, designer, model, singer and so on) is making an appearance wearing the most beautiful outfits! This years theme was Charles James, a designer better known as the America's first couturier and it was hosted by one of my favorite celebrities, Sarah Jessica Parker.

 Nobody was wearing a real Charles James, but the dresses and outfit were definitely catwalk-worthy!

How is your weekend? Mine is very busy with work, but tomorrow is my day off. 

I just went through the look-book van Shea Marie (stylist and fashion-blogger) to get some outfit inspiration for tomorrow. She runs this amazing blog www.peaceloveshea.com. I absolutely love her sense of style, she can combine every pattern, fabric or color and she turns it into an awesome, fashionable outfit. Dark jeans, favorite top in coal color and flat boots.
Similar but at the same time different look.
In previous post I wore waxed jeans with sandals and this time I decided to match it with regular jeans, suede flats and flower jacket.

Topshop is comming to Amsterdam

Hi lovelies,

I have to apologize because this will be just a short post for my Dutchies (or everyone who is going to visit Amsterdam), but I have such incredible news! 

I bet you still remember the day that Topshop announced that they will be opening a shop-in-shop in the Bijenkorf in Amsterdam, right? We were thrilled to finally have a Topshop in Holland even when it was a small one, but this morning during the launch of the Kate Moss for Topshop collection in the Bijenkorf, Topshop announced that they will be opening their own store in Amsterdam! 

This is a dream come true for all us Dutchies.. because lets be honest the shop-in-shop was great news, but an actual store from Topshop is beyond great news.. 

I can't wait for the opening that will be taking place in october!
